Respect for the environment
At Dharma Merchant Services, we employ sustainable business practices. Internally, our company uses earth-friendly and recycled office products and sustainable energy sources. Externally, we choose to interface with companies that share the same care for the environment. For example, our web hosting company is 100% solar-powered.
Respect for our communities
We believe in the need to give back to the communities that sustain us and to show compassion for those in need. Dedicating 50% of our net profits to charitable organizations that care for sick, underprivileged, underrepresented and exploited people, animals and land is our way of showing respect and care for all aspects of our community.
Respect for our customers
A driving force behind the creation of Dharma Merchant Services was to create a company that always treated its customers with honesty, fairness and a great deal of respect. By consolidating our marketing focus and reaching out to like-minded companies, we are able to make respecting and upholding our customers’ values integral to our business.
Respect for ourselves
We set out to make the type of company that we would like to work for: one that cares about the people who work there and gives them the opportunity to succeed without ever compromising their integrity. We treat our employees with respect and compassion, and evaluate all work policies on the basis of their impact on employees’ work-life balance. Our goal is to provide a work environment that fosters a healthy mind, body and spirit. To help achieve this goal, we practice a daily "clearing" ritual as described in Sacred Commerce, by Matthew and Terces Engelhart. This practice allows us to clear out whatever might be preventing us from enjoying the present moment, and set ourselves on a positive trajectory for the day.
